Malav Desai is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector. He is the Co-founder and CEO of Ratnaafin Capital, a company focused on providing finance to business owners, primarily in the MSME segment. Before founding Ratnaafin, he led a large financial advisory firm where he worked closely with leading banks, specializing in project appraisal and fundraising support for MSMEs. Under his leadership over the past three years, Ratnaafin has expanded to over 35 branches and disbursed loans worth ₹1,800 crore, serving more than 25,000 business owners. The company has also forayed into insurance broking, collecting ₹150 crore in premiums last year. Malav is also an active investor in the MSME and startup ecosystem, with investments across sectors including materials manufacturing, D2C brands, fintech, and edtech.
